Fishermans beach starts work on site!
ollowing successful planning approval by Shepway District council in November 2010, work has begun on site for the erection of a residential masterplan comprising of; 60 apartments, villa's and town houses with 30% of these being affordable homes - on the coastline of Fishermans Beach, Hythe.
Guy Hollaway is working in collaboration with Harris Partnership.
The architectural theme for the scheme is one of 'contemporary vernacular', i.e. a contemporary design approach using vernacular building forms such as the pitched roof form of the fisherman's huts.
The site provides a rare and important opportunity to radically improve the appearance of an urban seafront site.
